With tools for features like automatic parting line generation, core/cavity surface splitting, and side core analysis, IMOLD offers a level of functionality not realized by other mold design systems.


Features and functions are developed primarily for use by mold designers for their daily work in designing quality molds at very short lead time. Some of these functions include offset trimming of ejectors, laying out multiple cavities mold, modifying moldbase, designing lifters, sliders and cooling channels, etc. Modules like Electrode Designer and Sub-Insert Designer simplify the process of creating electrodes and sub-inserts for the designer so that they can concentrate on the "WHAT" of design instead of the "HOW". The "WHAT" deals with how to improve the quality and creating a better design while the "HOW" deals with how to manipulate the CAD system to get the design.

iMOLDPlus Electrode Designer

Isolate bosses and depressions for electrode geometry, recommend the optimal (least size and insertion angle) electrode stock size and insert the electrode. Also generate shop floor documentation for electrode manufacturing and create electrode drawings. Automatic collision detection and tangential extensions of extracted surfaces to be available soon.


The system has advanced electrode job management tools to facilitate the user to create the necessary information to manufacture electrodes.
