Free Consulting Services - Design Process Review (DPR)
What is a DPR?
The DPR is also a free consultation aimed at developing a strategy for product development process improvement. During the DPR, one of our consultants will identify current processes and suggest ways to eliminate non-productive activities, highlighting opportunities for improvement.
How long does a DPR take?
The DPR typically takes 90 minutes. The study is limited to the engineering and design departments and specifically to the optimization of the departmental activities. During the session we will:
- Examine overall workflow of the design process for a specific product
- Identify gaps, duplication and waste in the existing process, if any
- Recommend an improved process that leverages current technology
- Recommend training, software updates and best practices enhancements
- Identify design process improvements possible
The Deliverable: We will report back to management a summary outlining our findings, along with an estimate of cost savings in regards to implementing specific technologies. |
