Our 1-2 day technology appraisal targets current customers who are experiencing performance issues with parts, assemblies and drawings. Our CAD Health Check consists of an onsite visit by one of our certified applications engineers.
SCOPE The scope of the study will be limited to the use of the current CAD system in place. All departments using the CAD system will be included in interviews.
METHODOLOGY A FISHER/UNITECH consultant will visit the site and hold meetings (Q&A sessions) with key CAD users. The consultant will collect essential data and develop a report suggesting ways and means to improve the current utilization. Our consultant will investigate based on the following issues:
- Administration: How is the network configured to work with the current CAD system?
- Data Management: What types of data management systems are being utilized?
- Modeling: What are the specific modeling types being utilized?
- Communication: How is the CAD system communicating with others in the organization?
- Add-Ins: What add-in products are being used?
- Investigation: Interviews are done with each user to discuss training history, hardware configurations and set up.
- Uninstallation: If it is determined that problems will be solved by uninstalling the current CAD system, this will be done.
- Installation: The CAD system will be reinstalled.
- Final Settings: Disk management and upkeep will be discussed to maintain an effective system.

DELIVERABLES FISHER/UNITECH will collect data to perform a needs assessment and process map. Upon completion of the interview process and data collection, we will provide:
- New Process Map
- Recommended requirement for training and software updates, if any
- Suggestions for an automation system, if feasible
