FormatWorks, a SolidWorks Certified Gold Product, represents the highest level of integration with SolidWorks, quality and interoperability. Certified Gold Product Add-ins are fully integrated "single window" applications adding value to SolidWorks customers. FormatWorks has extended support of native CAD formats (CATIA V5, V4, UG, Pro/E, etc.) and special repair tools to simplify the workflows for importing single parts or large complex assemblies into SolidWorks.

FormatWorks simplifies the import to SolidWorks adding the automatic repair and healing and ensures that imported models meet SolidWorks' criteria to form valid solids.  This repair is always performed within the model tolerance while maintaining the original model integrity and preventing model deformation.

FormatWorks solves frustrating data incompatibility problems occurring during the import of 3D models into SolidWorks. It seamlessly imports native data formats (CATIA V4, CATIA V5, Pro/E, etc.) and performs necessary repairs to form a valid model in SolidWorks.

FormatWorks Standard -is a modular SolidWorks' add-in for import and export wide variety of CAD data formats to SolidWorks. The automatic repair includes identification and repair of over 70 typical geometry and topology errors on reading stage.

FormatWorks Professional - is the most complete translation package for SolidWorks users. It supports the same range of translators as FormatWorks Standard and extends its functionality with two important features.

FormatWorks Server - is a client-server solution.  It includes a powerful data translation server that can be connected to a number of lightweight clients installed on SolidWorks seats.  It contains all features available in FormatWorks Standard and Professional.
